Forging an ethical, fair and safe supply chain
Our supply chain stretches across the globe. And so does our responsibility to protect human rights. We follow the UN Principles of Responsible Business, strengthened by our commitment to the leading industry supply chain responsibility standards set out by the Responsible Business Alliance (RBA).

As an Affiliate Member of the Responsible Business Alliance (RBA) for our GN Audio A/S business division, GN fully supports the vision and goals of the RBA:
Vision: A coalition of companies driving sustainable value for workers, the environment and business throughout the global supply chain.
Mission: Members, suppliers and stakeholders collaborate to improve working and environmental conditions and business performance through leading standards and practices. We commit to progressively align its own operations with the provisions of the RBA Code of Conduct and to support and encourage its own first-tier suppliers to do the same. Wherever possible, we will seek to adopt the RBA approach and tools in practical ways in the spirit of the industry’s common goals.
Audits for all key suppliers
As part of our safeguarding and human rights due diligence, we audit all of our suppliers, across the following areas, based on the SA8000 standard.

Leading, not following
Precious minerals, without a human price tag
Tantalum, tin, tungsten and gold are found in many of our products. But there’s a risk each of these elements could be a “conflict mineral” if they come from mines controlled by military groups.
We stand firmly against all forms of exploitation, and we expect our suppliers to as well. That’s why our suppliers must clearly demonstrate they exclude conflict minerals.
We follow the five-step due diligence guidance laid out by OECD* to enforce a strict audit program across every part of our value chain. That’s how we make sure our products aren’t built using exploited labor.
*The five-step due diligence guidance is described in “OECD Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible Supply Chains of Minerals from Conflict-Affected and High-Risk Areas”

To strengthen supply chain due diligence, we are currently onboarding onto the EcoVadis platform as a requesting company, enabling us to track full ESG performance of our suppliers and request improvements if necessary.

The work never stops
