The Challenge

Orix needed speakerphones that offered the highest-quality audio performance, were flexible, easy to use and manage, and secure, and turned to the world’s leading professional audio brand. With web meetings on the rise, and more staff working flexibly, Jabra speakerphones are high quality, easy to use, and portable, making them the ideal solution for online meetings both in the office and at home. To fully equip their Tokyo office meeting rooms, Orix invested in 60 Jabra Speak 710 and 26 Jabra Speak 810 speakerphones.

Amazing clarity. Better productivity.

According to Kazuyuki Abe, General Affairs Facilities Team Director, the superior audio quality made an immediate and tangible difference to the team’s communications.

Investing in Jabra solutions has helped to boost productivity. Kazuyuki Abe explained that before Orix chose Jabra, they struggled with poor audio quality in meetings, but their experience with Jabra Speak was completely different.

Mr Abe says that the Speak’s usability is another reason for its popularity. “Our meeting rooms are very popular and busy with people booking them for online meetings. Everyone really likes that you can simply plug a Speak into a USB port and get started. They’re so easy to set up and use that you can make the most of your time and know you’ll have a great meeting.”

Lower support costs. Simple to secure.

There’s a positive impact too on support costs as Takashi Majima from the General Affairs Facilities Team explains: “Our previous teleconferencing system was hard to use, so the support team got called into the conference rooms every time there was a meeting. Since switching to Jabra there’s been no problems. Everyone’s been able to use the Speak devices – we’ve had zero support tickets raised. It really makes the support team’s job a lot easier.”

Having device security is also a big deal, as there is a shrinkage risk associated with small devices like speakerphones, so being able to fix them in place is important”. Jabra offered an easy solution, with the ability to secure the Speak devices with a Kensington lock. “After all, our meeting rooms are in high demand, and the last thing we want is for someone to book a room and then find the Speak has gone walkabout” explains Takashi Majima.
